Pita Pit featured in The Daily Kent Stater

Battle of the Pita Pits

Pita Pit is currently running a social media campaign called “Battle of the Pita Pits.”

The campaign is asking local fans to vote for their favorite Pita Pit location. The Kent location was voted in the top 64 in the country, beating out over 230 other locations nationwide.

Pita Pit co-owner Tana Walther thinks it’s great that the Kent location is doing so well in the campaign.

The winning locations will be able to supply free pitas for a day to the community.

“We need more customers out voting for us,” Walther said. “It’d be awesome to win the whole thing and be able to give free pitas to customers for a day.”

The Salem Pita Pit on State Street made it past the most recent cut in a competition to find the best location in the country.

Battle of the Pita Pits, now down to 32 locations, is a Facebook competition that allows customers to nominate their favorite Pita Pit location in six rounds. The challenge began on Jan. 3 with 64 locations and a final winner will be declared on Feb. 15.

Pita Pit featured in The Argus Leader

The store at 18th Street and Minnesota Avenue has made it to the top 64 locations in the Battle of the Pita Pits campaign, beating out more than 230 sites to make it this far.

Pita Pit featured in Phoenix Business Journal

Pita Pit was recently featured in the Phoenix Business Journal in an article entitled, "Franchise couple bringing fresh Pita Pits to Phoenix market."  The article focused on the Runyan’s and their signed deal with Pita Pit. Specifically, Todd expanded on his plans for development and how he and his wife signed a deal to open up 11-units throughout the Arizona market. Franchise couple bringing fresh Pita Pits to Phoenix market

As if Phoenix’s fast-casual restaurant space weren’t competitive enough already, Idaho-based Pita Pit has plans to bring its healthy brand of pita sandwiches to the market with several new stores beginning early next year.

Arizona couple Todd and Blanca Runyan have signed a franchise agreement to bring 11 Pita Pit locations to the Valley beginning with a location on Mill Avenue in Tempe, which is slated to open early next year. They are in the process of moving to the Phoenix area from Yuma, where they opened another Pita Pit this month.
